Made in cahoots with NYC’s Adsum, the Ventone Jacket is an oversized military jacket which takes cues from functional outerwear issued by the British military back in the middle of the 20th century. The fabric is the star of the show here—it’s a Japanese-milled long staple cotton twill that’s been woven super tightly to keep the rain and wind at bay—think of it like the Japanese version of the Ventile cotton used on outdoor and military gear back in the 40s and 50s and you’re on the right track.
Sitting somewhere in the middle of the Venn diagram between bomber, windbreaker, golf jacket and blouson, this is one of those sharp jackets that work just as well dressed up a bit with a button-down as they do worn over a hoodie.
